Meet The Team
Paul Martin MNAEA, MARLA
Paul has been an estate agent since 1986 and long-time member of the National Association of Estate Agents and Association of Residential Letting Agents, gaining considerable experience in the property market across Kent working initially for large corporate estate agencies, then moving onto smaller independent family run firms, before opening Saddlers Estate Agents with his wife, Zoe, in 2007.
Passionate about giving clients a first class service, Paul possesses an eye for detail and, amongst all of the factors involved in running the business, he is personally responsible for the Company’s photographic output and property presentation. We strive to provide the best, class-leading presentation of our clients’ properties combined with the support and back up of our many years’ collective experience.
Paul is a mad-keen cyclist, clocking up several thousand miles a year on his trusty steed, with which he’s raised much needed funds for various charities. Paul’s other interests include photography of all styles, hill-walking and the great outdoors. A former Cathedral Chorister, he also has an inherent love of classical and choral music and historic buildings.
Robert Sutton MNAEA
Rob has lived and worked in Charing and the Weald of Kent for nearly 40 years, with over 11 years’ experience specialising in the appraisal, presentation and sale of a wide variety of country and town property from maisonettes to mansions, gaining the position of Branch Manager in under just 2 years. Rob previously worked as a Cartographic Editor for a well-known publisher of street atlases and leisure maps.
He has a very detailed and researched approach to the housing market along with a proactive attitude, bringing the best technology to market clients’ properties, whilst retaining the core values that have led to Saddlers success. Rob is responsible for appraising and listing property, videography, HD Video Walkthrough Tours and social media. In an ever changing market, it is vital we make our clients’ properties stand out against the competition by offering a traditional, friendly, bespoke and expert service alongside the very latest advancements in marketing for all.
Rob is huge car and motorsport fan, attending many races locally and is a regular attendee of the Le Mans 24 hour race in France. He is a keen rock drummer, and enjoys gaming, cycling, socialising and is a keen film buff.
Senior Sales Advisor
Marilyn started working in estate agency with a large corporate firm 18 years ago and has since worked for independent family-run agency practices. She attended Pitman’s College in her school days and worked as administrative assistant and secretary for other companies prior to going into estate agency and that experience stood her in good stead for the world of estate agency.
Her friendly approach to buyers and sellers helps to keep things running smoothly on viewings and during ongoing sales and her love of period properties (having renovated several properties including an Oast House, Coach House and a Period Oak Barn) is fuelled by her enthusiasm for her position at Saddlers. She enjoys the challenge of matching the right buyer with the right property.
Marilyn has lived locally for 45 years and raised her family in the country, having spent all of her own childhood holidays on a family friend’s farm. A keen horsewoman since the age of 7, she now supports her daughter in rearing and breaking her competition horses. Marilyn owns a smallholding raising hens, ducks, geese and also has a Miniature Shetland Pony called Thomas. She is currently training her Border Collie pup, Skye. Trained as a pianist at the young age of 4, Marilyn still has a love of music today, especially pop music.
