Our knowledgeable and focussed team have a combined experience in estate agency of over 85 years. Our prominent marketing centre is located in the beautiful and historic village of Charing in Kent.

For the past thirteen years, we have been providing bespoke marketing for the sale and letting of a truly eclectic mix of property, in particular, fine village and period homes, farms and equestrian property, along with a high demand for modern property in out of town locations, principally covering village areas within the Canterbury, Maidstone, Tenterden and Ashford quadrangle. Meet The Team

Marilyn Froud ANAEA

Proprietor

Marilyn Froud

Marilyn started working in estate agency with a large corporate firm 27 years ago and has worked extensively in independent family-run agency practices. She attended Pitman’s College in her school days and worked as administrative assistant and secretary for other companies prior to going into estate agency and that experience stood her in good stead for the world of estate agency.

Her friendly approach to all she meets helps to keep our personal touch and taylored approach at the forefront of our ethos, along with her love of period properties (having renovated several properties including an Oast House, Coach House and a Period Oak Barn).  Marilyn believes in the company so much she recently took full ownership and looks to move Saddlers forward to the next level.  She enjoys the challenge of matching the right buyer with the right property.

Marilyn has lived locally for 47 years and raised her family in the country, having spent all of her own childhood holidays on a family friend’s farm. A keen horsewoman since the age of 7, she now supports her daughter in rearing and breaking her competition horses. Marilyn owns a smallholding raising hens, ducks, geese and also has a Miniature Shetland Pony called Thomas. She is currently training her Border Collie pup, Isla with her big sister Collie, Skye. Trained as a pianist at the young age of 4, Marilyn still has a love of music today, especially pop music.

Robert Sutton MNAEA

Rob has lived and worked in Charing and the Weald of Kent for over 43 years, with over 15 years’ experience specialising in the appraisal, presentation and sale of a wide variety of country and town property from maisonettes to mansions, gaining the position of Branch Manager in under just 2 years. Rob previously worked as a Cartographic Editor for a well-known publisher of street atlases and leisure maps.

He has a very detailed and researched approach to the housing market along with a proactive attitude, bringing the best technology to market clients’ properties, whilst retaining the core values that have led to Saddlers success. Rob is responsible for appraising and listing property, professional high quality photography, videography, HD Video Walkthrough Tours and social media. In an ever changing market, it is vital we make our clients’ properties stand out against the competition by offering a traditional, friendly, bespoke and expert service alongside the very latest advancements in marketing for all.

Rob is huge car and motorsport fan, attending many races locally and is a regular attendee of the Le Mans 24 hour race in France. He is a keen rock drummer, and enjoys gaming, cycling, socialising and is a keen film buff.

Mark brings a wide range of experience having worked in Kent for 37 years in residential estate agency dealing with a wide variety of town and country property in independent and corporate companies.

He has a thorough and professional approach to the business and aims to provide a very high standard of service to all our clients at what can be a very stressful time for some people with his calm and professional manner.

Mark is also a life long motorsport enthusiast having been to events in both the UK and Europe. Mark also enjoys travelling and socialising with his family and friends.
